SMART CASUAL OUTFIT 4

Top - 123 (old) // Skirt - TopShop (old) // Blazer - Whistles (old)

Forget black an yellow, I'm all about black + navy blue. This outfit is quite sombre but it's so easy to put together. I'm not actually sure about the skirt. Is it too casual? The structured blazer definitely puts the 'smart' into the casual. But I don't know whether I should leave the skater skirt out of my smart-casual wardrobe. I think I need to find a staple black skirt, either pleated or full, with a little more structure and wow. Hopefully that makes sense. This skirt just seems a bit flat.

The top is from a French brand called 123. They are amazing! Great formal and work wear. When I lived in France none of my friends shopped a 123 because they thought it was aimed at women with a job, two kids and a husband named Jean-François. They were oh so wrong. 123 follows seasonal trends and has great pieces for everyone. It's one of the brands I really miss. But I'm planning a trip to Paris soon. We'll be reunited and it will feel so good.

SALES HAUL PT 2

Skirt - Jigsaw // Silk Blouse - Hobbs

I came, I saw, I conquered (the sales). I'm finding it hard to stay away from dark colours, I think I am actually addicted to navy blue. Honestly, every time I go shopping I pick up something navy. So during the sales I am trying to force myself to try other colours to brighten up my office wardrobe.

The skirt from Jigsaw has hints of navy, light blue and PINK. Bonus. It's a brighter version of the classic pencil skirt. The pattern reminds me spring, adding a little sunshine to my winter commute to work.

I was verrrryyyy happy with silk blouse. Last one in my size! It's light weight and a great colour (yes, navy) to wear with a bright skirt or trousers. I'm actually wearing the blouse and skirt combo to the office today with black ballet flats.
