My Karen Millen Skirt

Karen Millen skirt
was £115 // now £55

I finally got the Karen Millen skirt!! It was 50% off. I'd been watching it for two weeks hoping it would go down, but alas it did not. So I bought it. This is the final sales item I'll buy, I promise you debit card. I am so happy with this skirt. The pleats are flattering and the skirt moves in such a beautiful way as I walk. I'm a bit scared of getting the lace caught on pointy things and ruining it, but oh well. It's so pretty. The skirt is available in navy, full price.

No work Mondaaaay. I'm off to Lille for the day. You'd better have a GREAT BANK HOLIDAY!

Sales Haul Pt . 2 (Too many bags)

I promised myself I’d only buy one bag a year, I failed. But I don’t mind. I filled my bag wish list this summer and think I’m set for a couple of years (ok, there is one that I need for work but that doesn’t count). I’m methodical and selective when it comes to buying a bag. I see them as investments which need to fill a certain criteria before they can have a place in my wardrobe. Without further adieu, here are the bags I bought this summer.

The Orange Beauty from Lancaster

Original Price 159€ // Sale price 111,30€ (including shipping from Edisac.com)
I wanted a bag big enough to fit my Ipad but practical enough to take around town and go hands-free. The colour definitely sealed the deal. I love this apricot orange, it's so summery. But it's so wintery too, imagine this paired with my navy wool coat. YES!
The leather is Michael Kors 'Selma' worthy, but without the hefty price tag. Real leather at a real friendly price. How could I say no?

 Small DKNY Saffiano Crossover

Original Price £110 // Sale price £55 (from Harvey Nichols)
I had wanted this began since it came out! I was such a weirdo, it was stocked in my local shopping centre and I would visit it every time I went into town. Have you ever done that? I would look at it, try it on, then just put it back, hoping and waiting for it to go on sale. And then it did, but on the Harvey Nichols website. I bought it without hesitation.
This bag is great for those outings when all you need is your credit card, ID and a phone. It can fit much more, but you know what I mean. The bag can also be worn in three different ways depending on the chain length: 1) a clutch 2) a shoulder bag 3) a long chain cross over. So it was basically three bags for the price of one. In saffiano leather. Bargain.

The Chanel-esque Shoulder Bag

RRP 219 euro (approx. £175) // Sale price £53 (including shipping)

I just can't get enough of this bag. I will find any excuse to wear and I actually organise dinners/drinks so I can wear it. I have nothing else to say. I love this bag. I got it from BrandAlley. It was my first purchase from the private sales website so I was a bit sceptical. The packaging wasn't great, my bag had a dent on the side, but I fixed that by stuffing paper inside to smooth out the bend. I had never heard Renata Corsi before but this bag caught my eye and it was lust at first sight. It's real leather so I'm not complaining.

I hope you got/will get everything you want in the sales!

Sales Haul Pt.1

My sales shopping is no yet done (I'm still waiting/hoping for a skirt to go from 50% off to 70% off), but I wanted to share my finds! I came, I saw, I most definitely conquered so take a look:

 1. Mango Dress
 Original price £34.99 // Sale price £24.99

Yes you're seeing double because the dress was so nice I just had to buy it twice (in all the colours available). Luckily it was only in navy and black because I think three would have been too much. This is a great throw-on-and-go-dress. It's light, airy and more importantly doesn't cling! I feel so mature and chic in it. Mango really surprised me this season, it has great pieces for work.

------------------------------------------------

 2. Mango Tops
  Original price £21.99 // Sale price £16.99

Ever since I saw THAT Tibi silk cami, I've been counting down the days till I could call one my own. Then I realised that I would never let myself spend around £100 on a top. And the classic colours would probably never go on sale. I was mourning my fashion loss when I spotted a Tibi-esque cami on the Mango website. They were available in black, white, blush and yellow. I got black, white and yellow. They're a wardrobe staple, a perfect desk to bar item. All you need is a 'business' blazer to cover up the partaaaay underneath. Be warned, they are quite low cut.

 ------------------------------------------------

3. Virgos Lounge Dress
Original price £100// Sale price £30

I bought this dress as a 'just in case' for any office party. You can never have too many dresses. The triangle cut-out at the front of the dress is a little risqué but everything is covered.

 ------------------------------------------------

4. Etam Jacket
29,97 € from 59,97 €

Another desk to bar item. This jacket is what I've been waiting for. I love print and the black and blue is eye catching yet subtle. I would wear the jack to the office but then take it off.
Etam is a French brand I reviewed here. The jacket is still available in size 10 on the Etam website!

There's more sales items to come!!

Work-spiration

Vanity Fair's International Best-Dressed List 2014 is out and Emma Watson caught my eye. Her entry is positively smart casual inspiration!

That is all.

Breton Stripes

Top - Comptoir Des Cotonniers (similar) // Trousers - United Colors of Benetton // Belt - Cyrillus

Being back at work has been hectic and the heat has made it even worse for my wardrobe. I'm struggling to stay cool on my commute and warm in the office. The air conditioning is up so high I have to wear a scarf! I just can't win.

I felt like a Parisienne in this outfit. I've never met a striped top I didn't like. I was worried it might be too casual for work, so I tucked the top into my trousers and threw on a leather belt. Apologies for the awkward crotch shot but I had to show off the detail of the belt. It's such a unique blue and the pop closure makes the belt standout even more. I normally wear it around my waist on the weekends.

HAPPY THURSDAY! (two days till the weekend). YES.
