I want to make my jewellery tarnish-proof.
My friend told me that if you coat your jewellery in transparent nail varnish it won't loose it's colour. I couldn't believe. My (fake) gold would stay gold? My rose gold would no longer turn into a weird bronzey green? I was sold. My friend hadn't even tried it yet - she got the tip for another friend. But I did it. And so far, no regrets.
For those of you who aren't fans of spending hundreds on a piece of jewellery for work, this is for you and I. Accessories are subtle ways of making a work outfit feel more 'you'. So you need to protect to make sure they last as long as possible. The bracelet I'm using here has already suffered a bit so I want to keep it from getting worse. Like anti-wrinkle cream for jewellery.
What Dora did:
I got my favourite piece of fake gold and my Chanel top coat. I said a little prayer and went crazy with the nail varnish! I tried to put thin layers on each side of the bracelet. Them I let it dry. Honestly, the bracelet looked shinier but you can't tell that I put my top coat on it. I'm happy with the results.
HAPPY TUESDAY!
