SMART CASUAL OUTFIT 6

Blouse - Hobbs // Skirt - Jigsaw

Oh the sun! The weather was so nice. And no it's gone. My blossom print skirt was season appropriate, helping me ease my way intospring. The floral splashes of pink work well for the office. They;re not too 'in your face', great for adding a pop of colour to my outfit. But I still need to go brighter, bolder...yellow. If you can't really count on the sun on in London, you may as well wear some yellow.

This silk blouse is great for the office. It's soft but not as delicate as some of the other silks out there. It hides creases really well and definitely creases less than the cotton shirts I own. If you haven't guessed, creases  are enemy.

I got my nails did as a birthday treat. Pampering and 'me days' should be enforced by law. Sometimes you just need to take a day off during the week for you. I went to a spa. I didn't want the Shellac nail, so the lady suggested I try the CND VINYlux range. It's meant to last as long as shellac polish, 7 days, and have the same shine BUT you can remove it will normal nail varnish solution. I'm in love. It's day 9 and I still have them on. For those of you who want the shellac polish look at home, VINYLux is the answer.

Good skirts are hard to find. I've chosen a few that I would love to get my hands on. I have skirt shaped holes in my wardrobe and these are the missing pieces. I feel like skirts are to wear to work than trousers. You can't go wrong with a good skirt and simple blouse.

WANTED THIS MARCH

Nail varnish - CND Vinylux in Cityscape // Yellow top - Warehouse // Black dress - Karl Marc John // Watch - Olivia Burton // Earrings - Thomas Sabo // Flats - Clarks // Blue dress- Next

Spring is in the air, the days are getting longer and brighter. Winter be gone. I'm following the weather change and committing to my goal of adding more colour to my work wardrobe. I feel like I should invest in dark coloured wardrobe staples and mix them up with seasonal coloured items. I need to avoid looking like a rainbow.

The Spring/Summer 14 collections are proving that pastels are here to stay. I'm pretty happy with that. I just need to find the shades which work for me - I'll definitely be staying away from the popular cotton candy pink. Yellow is a colour I really to experiment with. I haven't seen any simple pieces that aren't oh-my-god-are-you-trying-to-blind-me yellow. I'll be looking out for a softer shade to wear to work.

And earrings. I need earrings. I lost all of them (I only had two pairs) during the move from France. Somehow, they make me look dressed up.The pair from Thomas Sabo (above) are simple and timeless. I NEED THEM IN MY LIFE.

SMART CASUAL OUTFIT 5

Dress (seen here) GAP // Snood - Kurt Geiger (old) // Shoes - Dune (similar here) // Belt - Cyrillus (old) // Watch - Casio from Watch Shop

I am back to blogging! Having a full time job and posting has actually been really hard. But a lovely colleague has offered to be my photographer. These photos are the product of our awkward photo shoots.

This outfit is simple. The long sleeves keep me warm in the office and blazer/cardigan free. I feel like the sailor stripes and a red snood are appropriate, our office is right by the water. AND SPRING IS ALMOST HEEERE. The dress can be worn throughout the year but I was wonder whether it was 'acceptable' to go tight-less at work?

I've be feeling more comfortable at work and as weird it might sound, I feel like I'm ready to wear louder things. When I bought this dress it took me two weeks to wear it to work - I mean, it is a lot of stripes.
